On Thursday, January 26, 2012, EA hosted a very informative and all inclusive peek into the newest expansion pack, Showtime and Starlite Shores. This expansion pack is the biggest to come out of the Sims 3 studios and is full of new venues, visually updated venues such as the Bistro which will come with a stage, school, town hall plus many more, all designed to represent southern California. There will be 31/2 new careers: Singer, Acrobat, Magician and the 1/2 career is DJ – work a full-time day job and DJ at night. The much talked about new exclusive to Showtime, social feature-Sim port. Along with new items in buy/build mode, many are coming back from the Sims 2! Katy Perry and The Sims 3 – What to expect?

EA has announced recently the collaboration between The Sims and singer Katy Perry. The Sims studio plans to develop multiple games within the The Sims franchise featuring Katy Perry themed in-game content and virtual goods. EA also reported this relationship kicks off with a Special Collectors Edition for The Sims3 expansion pack, Showtime, which launches this coming March. Katy Perry will also be featured in all-new advertising and marketing campaigns for the brand. We have been hearing drips and drabs of news regarding The Sims 3 Showtime over the last few days but only now have we been presented with some much loved screenshots. The Sims 3 Showtime Expansion Pack Confirmed!

After having read rumours over the last few days about the next Expansion Pack, I can now reveal that The Sims 3 Showtime is officially the next Sims 3 Expansion Pack. Origin EU has now listed The Sims 3 Showtime, with the full description of the game but no new pictures. It’s looks like an interesting expansion pack with some fun features that allow you to play with your friend’s sims! It sounds like it’s a multiplayer addition, but I really think all they mean is that you can download their sims and play with them. Check out the full description below.

The Sims 3 Pets Graphical Glitches Help

I’ve been receiving a few emails regarding The Sims 3 Pets expansion pack and some fundamental graphics issues. From the sound of it, they aren’t too serious, but just a big pain. Luckily, SimGuruHydra from The Sims 3 forums is here to help! She’s formulated a list of instructions to help fix your graphical issue in The Sims 3 Pets. If you need any more help or found this information useful, please feel free to comment and let us know. Without further a due, here’s what to do:

Hi fellow Simmers, there have been reports from users who are running into issues with horses or may be seeing graphical issues in their game. Here are some steps that will help make sure your computer is fully up to date:
1.) Ensure that your version of Windows or OS X is fully up to date.
a. For Mac, you will want to go to the upper left corner of the desktop and click the Apple logo drop down and click “Software Update…”
b. For PC, please follow this link http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows/help/windows-update.
2.) Now you want to make sure that you are running the latest available graphics drivers.
a. If you have an Nvidia graphics card you will want to visit the following site and use the drop down menus to specify which graphics card and operating system you are using: http://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx?lang=en-us
b. If you have an ATI/AMD graphics card you will want to visit the following site and use the drop down menus to specify which graphics card and operating system you are using:http://support.amd.com/us/Pages/AMDSupportHub.aspx
To find out which operating system and graphics card you are using, you can use the DXDiag tool built into Windows. To access this program, you will want to click start and in the text entry field (under “Run” in Windows XP) type in “dxdiag” without the quotations.
Your operating system will be listed on the first page next to “Operating System:”. Your graphics card will be located on the second tab labeled “Display 1” next to “Name:”

The Sims 3 Generations Page Update

Just spent a bit of time updating the Sims 3 Generations pages, adding some information and some Sims 3 Generations Screenshots to spice things up. If there is anything else you think I should add to inform players, if you have found a good review or wish to write one of your own, please let me know in the comments as I will be happy to include all suggestions. The Sims 3 Generations: Official Trailer

The next Sims 3 expansion pack has been officially named and we can now call it: The Sims 3 Generations! This is an interesting expansion building on the base of your sim’s childhood and making the generations seem more fun. I think this will be a great expansion for all those people involved in their own legacies and look forward to hearing more on The Sims 3 Generations. Check out the trailer:

Rain and Snow in The Sims 3 Ambitions!

This has been something that I know tons of Sims 3 Fanatics have been craving for and recently a discovery has been made from the official Sims 3 Forum which enables you to create snow and rain in your The Sims 3 game. The Sims 3 Ambitions is required but it could just be worth it. Check out this short video followed by the post with instructions on how you can make rain and snow in your Sims 3 game!

How to do it.
Open cheat window enter, Testingcheatsenabled on.
Then Buydebug.
Go under misc.
There will be a ball called fog emitter.
Buy it.
Hold down Shift+ctrl and click it.
You will have three options.
Make sure visual effects is activated.
Then click the visual effect button enter what you want. (list of commands below)
Then add “ability to add trigger”.
Enjoy! I didn’t find this, thank somebodies name who I cannot mention!
