EA Download Manager Version 6 Fails to Connect

Not surprising to hear that an update from EA has messed up again, but this time, it’s not another The Sims 3 Patch, it’s the EA download manager. Version 6 is giving almost everybody problems connecting and here’s what Sims 3 Nieuws caught out over at the Official Sism 3 forum about the matter from SimGuru_BGY_11:

Hey, folks.

It looks like there is an issue with the latest version of the EADM that is causing connection issues. For the moment while we find out what’s wrong, what you’ll need to do is uninstall EADM 6.0.0.88 and install any version of EADM 5, either through the website or from the Sims 3 shipping disc.

We are working on correcting this currently and I’ll be letting everyone know when a new version that does not experience this issue is available.
