Jonathan Gallardo recently asked a question regarding the fact that he can’t run The Sims 3 game as his disk is not being recognised, here’s what he said:

“I am using lion operating system. My software is up to date and when I insert my CD it is ejected within 20 seconds of inserting the CD. When I try to insert the CD while in the game launcher application, the program does not recognize that I have inserted the CD and then says ”no game disc found” I have inserted a program Learn to Type and my Mac does run the program. SO, the optics on the reader is not the issue. Please help.”

To be honest, there really isn’t any strictly legal was to fix this issue. If you want to go ahead with a solution I’ve found, I take no responsibility for any actions nor for any issues you may have, I just want to help you fix your problem.

The only way to fix this problem is to install a crack on your Sims 3 game. I had a look around and it doesn’t seem that there are many up to date cracks, but I found one that appears to work at ThePirateBay. I do not take any responsibility if this does not work or causes more problems as I have not tried it myself – saying that, I downloaded the torrent and had a quick inspection. I am no genius so don’t take my word for it, but it appears to be fine.

From what I have read, it only requires you to replace TS3.exe in C:/Program Files (x86)/Electronic Arts/The Sims 3/Game/Bin with the file in the torrent. I advise you to back up your TS3.exe first just to be safe.
