Here are all the cheats in The Sims 3 with explanations on how to use them and what they can do. I have found other cheats advertised on the internet however when I have tested them they have not seemed to have worked. If there are any more you know of that you have tested, please tell me by commenting here or posting in our forum. To open the cheat window hold down CTRL+SHIFT+C and a window at the top should appear where you can enter your cheats. If this does not work, and you are on Vista, try CTRL+ALT WINDOWS+C all at the same time. Now here are the cheats of which you will enter into the window.

If you know of any more cheats that are not listed above or have any problems with the ones listed please tell me by commenting here, or just comment if you like it! Cheats can add a lot to the game and can help you breeze past certain problems and help you build your perfect house – but remember that it can still be fun to play without them!
I dont think the motherlode cheat works. Every time I try to use it it tells me no known cheat.
Well it seems to work find for me – haven't tried it on World Adventures if that's where you're using it but it's one of the most popular cheats in the game.. I don't understand how it can't be working for you.
I'll check if the patch has mucked it up.

Hi, the motherlode cheat is an active cheat for The Sims 3 (Base Game). I haven’t tested any cheats available for any expansion packs.
Note: If you’re still unable to activate the above cheat, try the following first – Hold Ctrl + Shift and then press C. Then type in – testingcheatsenabled true. And to use the mail box? Hold Shift and click on the mailbox with the above cheat active first.
There are more cheats but sometimes they don't work, if you want a list you can type help in the cheatscreane. And the cheat buydebug let you buy stuff from al over the game it's a new category in buy mode marked with an ? there you can buy rare stuff like al kinds of treasures from in dungeons.
Use the TestingCheatsEnabled true option, then when playing type in familyFunds *last name of family* *amount*
Example: familyFunds Jones 50000000
The family you specify will then get the amount you put in.

Increase lifetime happiness: type “testingcheatsenabled true” at homescreen, choose household, choose sim, click on lifetime rewards tab, ctrl+click at the top of the treasure chest.

Actually the Shazaam doesn’t work (I KNOW YOU CROSSED IT OUT, BEAR WITH ME) but I *DO* know a cheat that gives you lifetime points. Yeah? Yeah.
When you get to the MAIN MENU (it MUST be the main menu or else it won’t work), then you put in testingcheatsenabled true. You then choose a saved/new game, and select any sim in your family. Go to the Lifetime Points tab, and CONTROL-CLICK near the treasure chest (like, in the box or whatever). Each click gives you 500 points.

All of those cheats should work on every game, I know it works on late night, world adventures and the normal sims 3. There is also a cheat called buydebug which can let you buy almost everything possible that is in town including bugs and fish and there is also help which displays all cheats and if you are at the main menu, it only works at the main menu, you can type in testingcheatsenabled true/on either true or on works then when you play one of the games and play a family you can left click (I think, cant remember, otherwise right click) with your mouse on the lifetime happiness points area not on the amount or treasure box you get extra points you can also make your skills go up your hunger/hygeine/bladder etc go up or down and make relationships go up or down (recommend getting to know everyone then make all of them up) hope you like my advice stuff anywayz bye!

i bought the barnacle bay from the store come home follow the directions put in the redeem code and went to my account were you have the purchace options and befor i can hit the purchase options i have to retype my pass word even though im already logged in so retype password and it keeps bring it back to the sims store not the purchaace options and it wont let me go to purchase history am i doing something rong i keep typing my pass word and it wont let me get into purchase history so i can down lode it on my computer please help

The reason your cheat is not working is probably because you spelled ‘testingcheatsenabled true’ wrong. Or maybe it was as simple as misspelling the cheat (motherlode). And although this is a wonderful cheat, but if you use it over and over again to get rich, I would suggest a different cheat earlier mentioned by Zephyr that blew my mind:
Use the TestingCheatsEnabled true cheat, then when playing type familyFunds *last name of family* *amount* in the cheat box
Example: familyFunds Jones 50000000
The family you specify will then get the amount you put in.
NOTE: you cannot have more than 99,999,999 simolians in your household funds
ANOTHER NOTE: make sure that when typing in the last name, it MUST be the name of the active household. If you have people with different names in your household, then make sure what name to use by going to the menu and clicking on your game. above your family portrait will be one of your charachters’ last names, and this is the one you should use.

I am pretty sure that motherlode has worked for Sims 2 and 3. And possibly Sims 1. I started playing Sims about about 11 years ago when Sims 1 came out. And I grew up playing Sim City, Sim Ant, Theme Park, etc. I was ecstatic when Sims 1 came out and I’ve been in love ever since.

What is the cheat to keep your sims from ageing?
In The Sims 2 you needed a cheat to prevent the ageing of sims. (ageing off) However with The Sims 3, you can manually set ageing to be off via the options menu whilst in game. I am pretty sure it only effects that game save file, so you might have to set it to off for each individual game you have saved. But then again that is quite good, for it means that if you have more than my person playing The Sims 3, they can have ageing on, but you could still have it off.

Its a nice cheat if you want all the money in the world[works on both sims 3 and sims 2]. I had sims 2 but i lost the manuel to it…..motherlode works on the sims 2 TRY IT. IF you have the sims2
Are you supposed to be able to see your babies on Sims 3. My Sims just had kids but I am unable to see them. just a long line that sometimes expands the whole page. Is this a glitch? It even saves that way
Melonia, you are not supposed to be having that problem, it is due to custom content. one of the things you downloaded had a piece of clothing that allows any aged sim to wear it so sometimes your babies will be born wearing it and it makes them glitch. i expirenced this problem haha so i would know, its a pain in the ass, just use the cheat to make you sim age up and then have your toddler sim go change their clothes, then find out what clothes is doing it and delete it if you can. i hope i helped.
also, tiffany, i am having the same friggin problem, i just bought the sims 3 pets limited edition today and am trying to download the pet shop, and it makes me put in my password every time i click purchase history then sends me back to sims store EVERY TIME!! does anyone know whats going on?? because i already have a huge sim family in its 3rd generation and i want to buy a few pets but cant due so without the pet store.

To get unlimited funds in one cheat [ctrl][shift][enter]; enter standared “testingcheatsEnabled true”. [ctrl][shift][enter] enter familyfunds[enter family name here] [amount wanted ex. 99999999]. So example( familyfunds smith 999999999999) Another great cheat is after the standared “testingcheatsEnabled true” type Help it will bring up a list of cheats to use:) hope this helps:)

On the LIfetime Happiness testingcheat, I have to say that I hear a lot of people having trouble with it. Simply hold control and tap left-click rapidly in little circles just to the right of the treasure chest on the happiness point tab. When you’ve hit the sweet spot. keep hammering until you have enough points. It takes a while, giving 500 at a time..
YOU MUST enter testingcheatsenabled true from the main screen before loading a game in order for it to work.
Is there a cheat to get rid of the plumbob when doing posing shots? Especially those (poses) if the sim(s) are laying down.
