yeah, i had the same problem, but after downloading it, and updating, etc. it told me to insert the disk, i did, like a million times, it didnt work, so i used a diff expansion pack disk, didnt work either, then, a pop-up came along and told me to insert the generations disk, and BAM it worked, idk if this is the problem any of you had, but hey, just saying, i hope this helped.

I just got The Sims 3 World Adventures and I successfully installed it, but whenever I go to the game launcher it says that I haven’t installed it. Is it just the expansion pack, the original game, or the computer?

I am reinstalling my sims 3 game right now, and i really hope this works! If it doesn't, ima be verrrry angry! because i have tried everything so far and i just don't know what else to do.

That happened to me. It was alot of work, but I put my games in a safe place and reinstalled sims 3. The update worked for me then. But maybe there's another way I don't know about…

Due to my computer program I am not able to update my Sims 3 and you are required to update when installing World Adventures. I am not sure how to manually install it, but do you think that might work?
